The Annual Tigers for Babies 5k will be having our first ever VIRTUAL 5k this year! While this event will look a little different this year, we will still be incorporating our favorite Clemson traditions and raising funds and awareness for March of Dimes’ urgent mission!
March of Dimes fights for the health of all moms and babies. We support research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy so that every baby can have the best possible start. Building on a successful 80-year legacy of impact and innovation, we empower every mom and every family.
We imagine a world where every mom and baby is healthy regardless of wealth, race or geography. Our goal is to end preventable maternal risk and death, preterm birth and infant death. To achieve these goals, we must also end the health equity gap.
The 5k will be run through the town of Clemson, and the course will be set up for a week! Participants can run on their own schedule during this time frame, time themselves, and submit their scores to ItsAboutTime! After the week is over and all times are submitted, awards will be given!
1 in 9 babies are born prematurely in SC.
1 in 3 pregnancies results in miscarriage.
Over 400 babies each year pass away before their 1st birthday in SC.
These numbers are the reality for so many of families right here in the Upstate. THIS is why March of Dimes needs your support.
