The 20th Running of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Dan Davis Memorial Turkey Trot will be held virtually this year, Nov 22-29.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) raises awareness and funds for research directed toward the cure of Leukemia, which is a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. Your participation in this race helps to provide public awareness and improve patient support along with increasing the resources for education and research to improve outcomes for all blood cancer patients.
The original LLS Turkey Trot began as a way to increase this support. Dan Davis was the organizer of the first Turkey Trot in 2001 and served as Team in Training coach until he passed away in 2002.
Since we can't run this in-person, we'll be putting funds that would normally go toward food and awards into our giveaway. Therefore, this year, you'll receive a stainless steel 22 ounce double thermal walled tumbler. This provides 12 hours of heat and 24 hours of cold for your beverage of choice. You'll note the pic of the tumbler itself. One tumbler to each participant. If you would like to order more tumblers, you may do so at $10 a piece.
Awards will be identified on this website by December 1.
